Epidemiological evolution of Chronic Hepatitis Delta in Italy. An analysis of the Master-B cohort

      Introduction: Chronic Hepatitis Delta Virus (HDV) infection showed a rapid decline in Italy over the past two decades, reaching current prevalences between 7 and 9% among HBsAg carriers. Immigration from endemic areas caused a resurgence of HDV infection in some European countries. We analyzed the prevalence of HDV in a cohort of Italian and immigrate persons.
